Diane Myrene Bujol, went home to heaven Sunday, January 15, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Bujol; grandchildren, Sydney and Zachary Delcambre; brothers, Tommy, John, and Michael McCollum; aunt, Maxine Metz; stepchildren, Freddie Felts, Barbara Zimmerman, Marie Bujol, and George Bujol, Jr.; also several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren; and last, but not least, she is survived by her cats, Frosty and Taz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel George Bujol, Sr.; parents, Dale and Myrene McCollum; sister, Marian Miller; and brother, Jim McCollum. Diane was born in Dallas, TX, graduated from Highland High School and attended the University of Albuquerque. After a long career in Civil Service, Diane spent much of her time volunteering. She was active in hospice, the Albuquerque Tourism Department, the Humane Society, and acted as a court appointed children's advocate. All of her family and friends treasured Diane for her kindness and patience. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 19, 2012, 6:00 p.m., at French - University Chapel with Visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 20, 2012, 10:30 a.m., at Holy Ghost Parish, 833 Arizona Ave, SE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or the hospice of your choice.
