Weaver, Dixie Joan, age 73, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on April 11, 2011 at Prestonwood Nursing Home Plano, Texas. She was born on 3/4/1938 in , Illinois to her parents, Harvey and Nettie Gollahon.

One of 9 siblings. Dixie had 3 children. She was a longtime resident of Mesquite,Texas. She enjoyed reading her bible, praying, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren..

Dixie will be remembered by her children Lana Morgan, Bobby Joe Weaver Jr., & Christine L Smith & her husband Jim. Her Grandchildren Lela Marie Smith & her husband Kenny, Stephen Grant Nash, Caleb Leon McClendon, & Patrick Joseph Smith. Her Great Grandchildren Destinie Smith, Dominick Smith, & Mariah Smith. She is also survived by Her sisters Virginia Wallis & Beverly Waddington, and numerous nieces and nephews.
