Dollie Ann Staas October 26, 1932 - November 23, 2011 Dollie Ann Staas of Waco passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, November 27, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Dollie was born October 26, 1932 in Falls County, Texas to Floyd and Hertha Welch. She worked almost three decades at the Waco Tribune Herald. She enjoyed being with friends and family and was loved by everyone. Her hobbies were bingo, painting, cooking and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Dollie was a member of First Evangelical Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Randy Staas. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward Staas; her daughter, Rhonda Staas; two granddaughters, Christy Plaa and Melanie Boening and husband, Chris; grandson, Casey Vincent; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Wyatt; sister, Earline Sledge and husband, Frank; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Rick Martin, Gary Martin, Jacob Bethke, Casey Vincent, Chris Boening and Dale Moseley. The family wants to thank Bluebonnet Hospice, especially "Mollie Ann" O'Leary and the staff at Lake Shore Village. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluebonnet Hospice.
