A resident of Dallas, TX, Dolores A. Mitchell, 61, died June 29, 2012.
Dolores was born on January 11, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, to Cliff and Mae Francis Mitchell.
Dolores attended South West Region Academy up until her 11th year. After the Academy closed she attended her senior year at Booker T. Washington where she graduated. She then proceeded to attend Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama where she majored in Business Administration for two years, and then left Oakwood and became the manager supervisor of the 911 department. Dolores worked in the 911 department for the City of Dallas and retired after 35 years of service.
Dolores liked to read, shop, go out to eat, travel with her cousins and friends and spend time with her nieces. Dolores attended City Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was a member of the choir.
Her brother Michael L. Mitchell, sister-in law Carolyn Caruthers-Mitchell, her favorite auntie Opal Reed, 7 nephews, 8 nieces and a host of family members & friends survive Dolores.
