Dolores C. Hopkins, age 88, a lifetime resident of Taylor, passed away Friday morning at the Lackawanna County Health Care Center in Olyphant, where she had resided for the last four years. Born in Taylor on September 22, 1923, daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Andrews Hopkins, Dolores was a graduate of the former Taylor High School, Class of 1941. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a key punch operator for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. An extremely loyal member of the Divine Mercy Parish (previously of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Taylor), she had the utmost devotion to both God and her church. Her family would like to especially thank the extraordinary staff of Lackawanna Health Care Center for the special care they had given to Dolores during her stay. She is survived by her sister, Mary Hopkins, also a resident of Lackawanna Health Care Center; her niece, Margaret Depew of Scranton; and her nephew, William "Hoppy" Hopkins of Scranton. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Hopkins; and her beloved twin-sister, Dorothy Hopkins, on November 7, 2008. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00AM in Divine Mercy Parish Church, 312 Davis Street in Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, Pastor. Interment will follow in the Cathedral Cemtery, Scranton. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Monday between 9-10:00AM at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P.
