DOLORES "DOLLY" STEVENS
COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Dolores "Dolly" Stevens, 82, will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Paul Stevens Jr., Kevin Stevens, Carlisle Reames and Andrew Calvin.
Mrs. Stevens died Monday, January 2, 2012. Born in Gillingham, Kent, England, she was a daughter of the late Harry Edward and Polly Bartolo Cruttenden. She came to the United States from England in 1958 where she worked at the S.C. Highway Department until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church of Columbia.
Surviving are her sons, Paul Stevens Sr. (Jan) of Chapin; Pete Stevens (Terri) of Columbia; sister, Mary Dixon of Kent, England; four grandchildren, Kevin Stevens of Columbia, Kendall Stevens of Charleston, Paul Stevens Jr. of Lexington, Cindy Stevens Mathias of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Mathias Jr. and Hannah Hammond.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia SC 29210.
