Dominick V. Maggiore of Northford, beloved husband of Marie Goglia Maggiore, went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 24, 2012. He is the loving father of Maria, Dominick O., Danny (Mary Ann) and Anthony (Christa) Maggiore. Brother of Annamarie Marcella and Catello (Edward) Maggiore. Beloved grandfather of Ceraina, Danny II, Angelina, Mario, Anthony Jr., Christian and Cierra Maggiore. Dominick was born in New Haven February 11, 1942 to the late James and Anna Proto Maggiore. He began his professional career in sales at Hamrah Rug Co. where he was the New Contract Manager. He later went to work for the Board of Education in the City of New Haven as a union official serving in several capacities including President of Local 287. After leavng the City he went to work as a manager at the Hospital of St. Raphael. A talented musician, Dominick was the original drummer for the George Anthony Quintet. He was a baseball coach for the Dom Aitro Little League and North Branford Senior Majors, and was a member of the Order of Sons of Italy in America Lodge 37. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm at the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 11 Wooster Pl. and are invited to attend a Christian Funeral Service in the funeral home Wednesday morning at 10am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Life Church 597 Naugatuck Ave. Milford, CT 06461.
