Don Kourakos, 63, of Reno, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at his home.
Don was born Jan. 1, 1946, in Lamar County. He graduated from Roxton High School and attended Paris Junior College.
He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Elk’s Lodge. An insurance salesman, he had worked for American National Life Insurance Company, Reliable Life Insurance Company and Farm Bureau. Over twelve years ago he began working at Terry’s Furniture which is now Ivan Smith Furniture.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Kourakos Pasquill, his mother, Georgia Fay Cope Kourakos and his father, Nicholas Kourakos.
Survivors include his wife, Regenia Satcher Kourakos, a son, Todd Kourakos & wife Angie of Paris, grandchildren, Regan Maberry & Cade of Paris, Derik Spangler of Paris and Emily Carter & John of Antlers, OK, great grandchildren, Braylan Maberry, Memphis Spangler and Caydin Carter along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Casket bearers will be: Thomas Roach, Scott Roach, Bob Baggett, Larry Cope, Gary Cope and Barry Cope. Honorary bearers will be: Robert Skidmore, Chuck James, Bart Jetton and Greg Ryan.
