Donald A. "Bubba" Dodson, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in South Bend, IN, Donald worked as a Communications Technician with GTE for 30 years. He was a member of 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, The American Legion and was a US Air Force Korean War Veteran. He was a "Die Hard Cubs Fan", and loved all sports, especially golf. Surviving are his sons, Donald A. (Peggy) Dodson Jr. of Laotto, IN, Thomas J. Dodson of Fort Wayne, Robert "Robbie" Dodson of Kendallville, Michael (Kelly) Dodson of Avilla, John (Lanisa) Dodson of Kendallville, IN; daughters, Karen F. (Steve) Hicks of Bloomsberg, PA and Sue J. Sipes of Spencerville, IN; step-daughters, Sheryl L. Figg of Tennessee, Tonya L. Tatem of South Carolina, Jody L. Lomas of Lafayette, IN; brother, Thomas S.(Sandra) Dodson of San Diego, CA; 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and his beloved dog Taz. Donald was preceded in death by his parents F. and Lois(Rumpf) Logan; first wife Ann Marie (Shields) in 1960; second wife Pamela S. (Rand) in 1965; third wife, Ellen C. Dodson in 2007; Funeral Service is 2pm Saturday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Also with Visitation Friday 2 to 5pm & 7 to 9pm at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Gebalt School For Boys.
