COLUMBIA Graveside service for Donald Adolph Eunice, 89, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mr. Eunice died Thursday, January 5, 2012. Born in Waycross, Ga., he was a son of the late David Archie and Maudie May Houseman Eunice. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army and a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He worked in the clothing reception center at Ft. Jackson and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are a son, Richard Eunice (Kristin) of Columbia; daughter, Valerie E. Campbell (Bill) of Hopkins; grandson, Shawn E. Bairefoot (Jessie) of Irmo; two great-grandchildren, sister, Doris E. Callahan of Waycross, Ga., and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to wife, Iris Wanda King, he was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.
