Mr. Donald E. Cramer, 68, of 7932 Tomstown Road, Waynesboro, died Sunday afternoon, July 1, 2012, at Quincy Village. Born August 26, 1943 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Helen A. (Needy) Monn, a resident of Falling Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the late Charles F. Cramer. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area. Mr. Cramer graduated from the Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1961 and he later served a three year apprenticeship at Landis Tool Company, Waynesboro. He served with the National Guard, serving one tour in Vietnam. Mr. Cramer worked at Landis Tool Company, Waynesboro, as a buyer, retiring after more than 44 years of service. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro; Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1191, Waynesboro; and Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319, Greencastle. He was a former member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro. Mr. Cramer enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and was an avid gardner. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer D. Shaffer and her husband Chris of New Baltimore, MI; two granddaughters, Mikayla Shaffer and Sydney Shaffer; one sister, Connie Vukmanic of Waynesboro; two brothers, Ronald Cramer of Greencastle and Denny Cramer of Waynesboro; his best friend Julio Quiles of Smithsburg; and five nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Cramer. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Thursday afternoon, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Christ United Methodist Church, 100 S.
