MILLERSBURG - Donald E. Zerby, 88, of 558 Center Street died Friday, September 2 at the Manor at Susquehanna Village surrounded by his family. He was born on July 25, 1923 in Millersburg the son of the late William E. and Eva Mae (Messner) Zerby. He was a veteran of the US Army, and a retired steel worker. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Shirley (Lahr) Zerby and his loyal companion Rebel, his son Craig D. and his wife Karen M., daughter Karen L. and her husband David L. Shomper, son Brian E. and his wife Kelli, and grandchildren Amber, Matthew, Landon, Alyssa, Hope, Danica, Dustin, and Dillan. He is also survived by his brother William J. Zerby and his wife Mary, and nieces and nephews.. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 15 from 10-11 AM at Trinity U.C.C., Millersburg with Funeral Services at 11:00 am at the church. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg. Donations can be made to his church at 235 Center St., Millersburg, PA 17061 or Hospice of Central PA 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
