Shaw, Donald E. 83, born October 26, 1924, in Moline, Ks., to Walter M. and Martha F. Shaw, passed from this life to his heavenly home April 26, 2008. He was a much loved and admired husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He proudly served as a U.S. Navy Radarman First Class in the Pacific during WWII. After the war he moved to Wichita and started his own radio repair business that later became Dons Radio & TV. Don married Beulah (Belt) in 1946. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last November. Don and Beulah have been active, charter members of Countryside Christian Church in Wichita since it began in 1954. Don earned civilian pilot, instrument and twin engine flight credentials. He enjoyed golf and fishing with his grandchildren. Don has blessed many people throughout his life and will be lovingly remembered by his family. Don was preceded in death by his brother Merle Dean Bub Shaw, sister Earlyne Scholfield Hastings and infant daughter Kimberly Denae Shaw. Don is survived by his beloved wife Beulah, three daughters: Linda (Bill) Cary, Carol (Roger) London, Shelley (Ron) Zerbe. Grandchildren: Don (Kristen) Cary, Darren (Brenda) Cary, Greg Cary, Brent (Shannon) Cary, Tricia (Mark) Buckingham, Ryan London, Stephanie London all of Wichita, Ks. Christopher (Amy) Zerbe of Kansas City, Ks. Melissa (Matt) Smith of Wichita, Ks and 14 great -grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S. Rock Road, Wichita, Ks .Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Family present from 5:30 7:00PM. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 10:00 AM. Both services held at Countryside Christian Church.
