MILLBURY: Donald F. "Hawk" Vosburgh Sr., 78, passed Saturday December 3, 2011 after suffering a massive heart attack at home. He leaves his wife of 58 years Jean R. (Austin); Three children, Donald F. Jr. of Newport ME, Pamela J. Fortier and her husband Steven of Sutton, Robert J. and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford; A cousin Marylou Strom of Millbury who lived with Mr. & Mrs. Vosburgh; Four grandchildren, Heather McMahon, Donald Vosburgh III, Tracy Dencer, Kathleen Vosburgh; Seven Great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Devin, Dominic, Jillian, Cameron, Ashlynn and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Bertha (Oliver) Vosburgh, a sister Bertha Spoonholtz and two brothers, Henry and Richard Vosburgh. Mr. Vosburgh was born in Waltham June 12, 1933 and has lived in Millbury over 30 years. He was a US Air Force Korean veteran. Don worked 25 years at New England Telephone Co. as a splice technician retiring in 1992. He was an active member of The Main South American Legion Post in Worcester and The Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed playing horseshoes competing in The Can Am Horseshoe tournaments many times. Don also was a loyal NE Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. His family asks that you honor and remember him with donations to The American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham MA 01701 or Veterans Inc. 69 Grove St. Worcester Ma 01605 in lieu of flowers. Funeral & Calling Hours All are invited to calling hours at THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. in North Grafton Wednesday December 7th from 9 to 11 am followed by a Graveside Funeral Service with Military Honors at 12:15 pm at Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery, 217 Richards Ave. Paxton MA 01612.
