Donald J. Lynch, 87, of the Bridgeville section of White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Prince William Hospital, Manassas, VA. Born on September 4, 1923 in Bridgeville, NJ, he was the son of the late Edmund L. and Jessie Mershon Lynch. During WWII, Mr. Lynch had served in the Army Air Force in the 645th Bombardment Squadron serving in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Europe Air Offensive battles and campaigns. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ and a member of the Holy Name Society. Mr. Lynch had been a custodian for Hoffmann-LaRoche, Belvidere, NJ for many years before retiring. Prior to his time at Roche, he was a textile printer at Castle Creek Textile Co. , Washington, NJ from which he retired. Donald was predeceased by his wife Marguerite Larney Lynch, who died on November 11, 2007 and a son Richie Lynch who died in November 1951. Surviving are a son, John Lynch of Elkins WV; a daughter, Patricia McIntyre and her husband Thomas of Haymarket, VA; a sister, Helen Fiedler of Hackettstown, NJ; three brothers, Thomas Lynch of Webster, FL, Robert Lynch of Easton, PA, and Richard Lynch of Buttzville, NJ; four grandchildren, Thomas and Daniel McIntrye, Kristi and Kevin Lynch; one great-granddaughter, Shannon McIntrye. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to Warren Haven Memorial Fund, 350 Oxford Road, Oxford, NJ 07863.
