Donald James Louks, 79, of Hot Springs died Sunday September 18, 2011 in the John L. McClellan Veterans Hospital. He was born July 22, 1932 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late Phillip Malvin & Berdie Jeanette Tyler Louks.

Donald graduated from Little Rock High School and joined the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves and served in Korea and received 2 Purple Hearts and other commendations. He was discharged as a staff sergeant and he was proud to be a Marine and he was the adjutant of the Hot Springs Purple Heart Organization. He attended the University of Arkansas and majored in accounting and was a member of Lakeshore Heights Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Charles Faulkner, Vol Faulkner & Henry Louks.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Graham Louks of Hot Springs; 2 daughters, Donna Judson & husband Robert of Plano TX and Carol Parchinski of Hot Springs; 1 brother, Leslie Louks of North Little Rock; 5 grandchildren, Brittnie Bragg, Brandon Judson, Paul Judson, Lance Judson and Blake Judson; 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Friday September 23 at Gross Funeral Home.
