Donald L. Cowger, 60, of Warren, died Saturday, May 5, 2012. He was born October 24, 1951 in Warren, the son of the late Duncan Cowger and Ethel (Fisher) Wilson.

Don was a lifelong resident of Warren, where he raised his family. Don worked in the Hard Trim Department of General Motors for 33 years, before retiring in 2003. Later he worked for Joe's Tree Service. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Don also was a past member of the Warren Area Jaycees and UAW Local 1112.

He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting with his sons, NASCAR Racing and working on cars. Don was an avid Cleveland Browns Fan. Many will remember him for his 11 years of coaching Baseball at Burbank Park in Warren.

Surviving are his wife Carol Ann (Hull) Cowger, whom he married February 20, 1971; three sons, Shane Allen Cowger of Vienna, Chad Lee Cowger and Lee Munion of Warren; his siblings; Jeannie Kinney of Maine, Jobie Cower of Indiana, Wanda Gage of Madison, Arnett Cowger of N. Jackson and Vicki Greenslade of Madison, Ohio. Don had 5 grandchildren and loved spending time with each one. Branden L. Cowger, Hanna Munion, Catelyn L. Cowger, Delaney G. Cowger and Braylen L. Cowger. He was preceeded in death by his brothers; Junior "JR" Cowger of Leavittsburg and Arnie Cowger of Gary, Indiana.

Services are 9:00 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfie Burch of Monument of Faith Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Bazetta. Callings hours are Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Thursday 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
