Don Gumpert

Passed away early Monday morning after a 6 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was a resident of Grand Prairie, TX at the time of his passing. He is survived by wife, Rebecca Gumpert of Grand Prairie, TX; son, Chris Brock of Shepherdsville, KY; daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Zachary Swan of Arlington, TX, and son, Curtis Gumpert of N. Miami, FL. Also survived by mother, Faye Gumpert; sister, Lora Lake; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Deborah and David Remont; 3 nieces and 2 nephews, 4 great nieces and 6 great nephews along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Gumpert, mother Catherine Davenport and "chosen" granddaughter Shannon. Although Don had no biological grandchildren, he had many "chosen" ones he acknowledged as his own - Lauren, Lindsey, Blake, Emily, Megan, Paul, Samantha, Shannon, Natalie, Reagan, Haylee, Jacob, Rylan and too many Girl Scouts to name. As well as his "chosen kids" - Brandy, Sara and Philip, Frank, Angie, Kerri, Paige and Bradley, and Maegan and Brian. He also considered all the awesome families of Girl Scout troops 3213 and 3217 part of his family. He is and was a very loved man, and the best Husband, Father & Friend we could ask for. He is greatly missed, and will never be forgotten.

This is an amazing place the entire staff are wonderful people. It is completely non-profit, if you cannot afford hospice you are still taken in and not billed. Please make donations In Memory of Donald Gumpert.
