HAGG, DONALD OLIVER Born August 1, 1932 in Dallas, Texas and passed away January 28, 2012 in Firestone, Colorado. Preceded in death by his wife Geryl Alexander Hagg, parents Albert L. Hagg, Sr. and Gladys Munk Hagg, brother, Albert L. Hagg, Jr. Don graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in architectural engineering. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He went on to work in Dallas as a structural engineer receiving many honors throughout his career. He was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dallas and for many years was an avid bowler and sports enthusiast. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law Cindy Hagg Heydinger & Andrew Heydinger of Firestone, Colorado, son and son-in-law Russell Hagg & Alan Lorenzen of Dallas, Texas, son Ray Hagg of New York City, New York; sister-in-law Joy Hagg of Hideaway, Texas, nieces and nephews, Robert & Venetia Hagg, Richard & Helena Hagg, Karen Fahey, Virginia & Norman Hall and Valerie & Pat Bonds.
Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society Corporate Hero Circle program http://main.acsevents.org/goto/Russell_Hagg.
