Donald Owen Young

Donald Owen Young 80 of Princewick passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Born April 1, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Glenna Wills.
Donald enjoyed playing bluegrass music and was a disabled coal miner. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his wife Alma Jean Ellis Young; adopted son, Robert Owen Young; sisters, Mary Payne and Imogene Riddle; brother Darrell Young.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters Glenna "Pixie" Waddell and husband Bill of Boonville, NC, Donna Stump of Crab Orchard, WV; adopted daughter Susan Spangler and husband Gerald of Sophia; step-children Shirley Harrah and husband Toney of Pineyview, Billy Scott and wife Sharon of Sophia, WV, Jeanie Garretson and Gary Elkins; 15 grandchildlren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother Jack Young and wife Peggy of OH; sister Sharon Barnette and husband Estel of TN.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Princewick Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Epperly and Pastor Dean Adams officiating.
Burial will follow at Farley Hill Cemetery.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday from 12 - 2 PM at the Church.
The family request that memorial may be made to the Princewick Missionary Baptist Church in Donald's memory.
