Donald T. Leighr, age 88 of Bryant, Arkansas died May 4, 2011 at his home. He was born on October 7, 1922 in Mount Vernon, Iowa to his late parents Melvin Leighr and Elizabeth Tracy. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII and was a member of the Indian Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two children, David Leighr (Donella) of Harrisonville, MO and Carol Leighr of Oregan; five grandchildren, Jennifer Williams and Billy Penton, David Ryan, Joshua and Tevye Leighr. He preceded in death by his wife Mary Leighr, his parents and sister Florence Clark.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas (501) 455-1067 with Pastor Tom Williams officiating. A visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the funeral home.
