WORCESTER: Donata R. "Dina" (Monopoli) Borci, 92, passed peacefully September 22, 2011 at Sandhill Gardens Retirement Residence in Deep Creek FL where she has resided since 2002. Her devoted husband of 46 years, Joseph A. Borci Sr. passed in 1986. She leaves behind and will be greatly missed by her children Emi Carrigan of West Boylston, Joe Borci Jr. and his wife Becky, Guy Borci and his wife Priscilla all of Port Charlotte FL. Seven adored grandchildren, Debbi (Borci) Ziegler, Joe Borci III, John, Joe, Chris Carrigan, Guy, Mike Borci and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son in law John P. Carrigan. Dina was born January 28, 1919 in Worcester, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Rose (Papagni) Monopoli, and lived most of her life there. Mrs. Borci was a longtime active parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Worcester and a member of The Golden Years Club. Dina's greatest joy was time spent with her loving children, grandchildren and their families. She also enjoyed cooking Italian foods, playing cards with her friends and she was an avid reader. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial donations to Sandhill Gardens Retirement Residence Activity Fund, 24949 Sandhill Blvd., Deep Creek FL 33983. Funeral Arrangements A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday September 27th at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, 17 Waterville St. in North Grafton. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME in North Grafton.
