Donna Lucille (Ells) Andrews turned 85 on Thursday, July 21st and celebrated her birthday 2 days later with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and others who had gone on before her to Heaven. Donna was born July 21, 1926, in Washougal, WA, and was raised in Battle Ground, WA, where she graduated high school in 1943. In her youth, she enjoyed singing and playing the violin. In her later yearsshe enjoyed trips to the beach, golfing and was an avid crossword player. Donna was a homemaker and loved being with her grandchildren. She was an active member of Vancouver First Friends church where she practiced her gift of hospitality by greeting other parishioners every Sunday morning with coffee and dozens of her homemade cookies. She is survived by two sons: Ben (Rosemary) Andrews and Ron (Linda) Andrews; and two daughters, Connie Schreiber and Bobbi Roll. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Elizabeth Gallardo, Sami Andrews, Duane Donald, Jesse Thomas and Kimalyn Brown and one great- grandson, Harrison Gallardo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer & Helen Ells and her granddaughter, Kalyn Roll. The family would like to thank all the staff at Cascade Park Care Center for their loving care and compassion for Donna during the final years of her life.
