Donna Lichty Tekempel (nee Galish), 43 of Medina passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Hospice of Medina County at The Inn. She was born November 27, 1965 in Cleveland to Francis A. and Rosemary F. (nee Brandt) Galish. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and homemaker. She was a Medina High School graduate, was very active in the American Cancer Society, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, cooking, crocheting, and gardening, both vegetable and floral. She was strong in her faith and her children were her passion. Mrs. Tekempel is survived by her husband David Tekempel; children Brandon Lichty, Tristian Tekempel, and Lillian Tekempel all of Medina; step-son Denver Tekempel of Akron; parents of Westfield; siblings Dee Ann Arndt of Westfield, Angela Galish of Medina, and Andrea (Gary) Allen of Medina; and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her son Kyle Lichty. Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx Road), Medina. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Parish. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
