Donnie L. Hinton, 57, of Stamps, AR passed away, Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Medical Park Hospital in Hope, AR.
He was born November 3, 1948 in Laurel, Mississippi to the late Rance Isaac and Evelyn Meadows Hinton. He attended the St. James Episcopal Church in Magnolia, was the Immediate Past Chair of the Arkansas Division of the Society of American Foresters, and was a Registered Forester of Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas. Mr. Hinton was the District Forester of the Arkansas Forestry Commission for 14 years. Prior he was the Landowner Assistant Forester with Stone Container Corporation in Dothan, Alabama, and worked for 17 years as Assistant District Forester with Mississippi Forestry Commission in Bay Springs, Mississippi.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Connie Buell Hinton of Stamps, AR, one daughter, Holly Hinton of Austin, TX and one son, Scott Hinton of Stamps, AR.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 25, 2005 at 2:00 pm at St. James Episcopal Church with Father Allen officiating. Burial will be in Frisco Cemetery in Perry County, Mississippi, Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 4:00 pm. Family visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
