My name is Kevin and I work at the Lutheran Hospital Cancer center. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Dorcas. She was an inspiration to everyone at our clinic, staff and patients both. One of the first times i ever met Dorcas, she said, "Hey Good Looking." I told her that I was not good looking and she replied, "Honey, I may be old, but I am not blind." Everytime she came to our clinic, no matter what kind of mood I was in, you can be assured by the time she left, I was smiling. Several times i held her hand during her multiple hours at our clinic. I was always rewarded upon her departure with a warm and caring hug. To Dorcas's family, I send my deepest and most heartfelt sympathy for your loss. However, she will never be forgotten, hers is a legacy that will live forever. There is a saying I often refer to, "Count your age by friends, not years." To this I say, she must have been at least a million years old. Now she is in a much better place, and her smile and compassion will live forever on earth, as well as to the people she will continue to touch in heaven.

This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for obedient humans. The Bible says: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."-Psalm 37:29.
