Doris H. Normile, 84, passed from her husband's loving arms into the loving arms of the Lord on 11-4-11. Doris was born in Louisville, KY on 2-17-27 to parents Helen T. and Arthur Miller and had 4 brothers and 1 sister. Doris moved to Phoenix in 1972, starting the second chapter of her life as a widow with two young children, Gary and Gail Huddleston. In Phoenix she met and married the love of her life, Vince Normile in 1973. Doris was an accomplished artist, writer and dancer throughout her life. She founded a music and tap group, "the Sunbeams" in 1985, entertaining throughout Phoenix and the surrounding communities for 15 years, mostly at retirement and nursing homes. They also performed 3 years at the Arizona State Fair on Senior Day at the big band shell stage bringing joy and touching the lives of many people. Doris and Vince moved to Cottonwood settling in Pine Shadows in 1999. There she enjoyed the beautiful scenery and spending time with her family. Doris is survived by her husband, Vince Normile (Ctwd), daughter, Gail Roeller (Ctwd), grandson, Shawn Roeller (Ctwd), grandson, Jason Huddleston (Phx), and great granddaughter, Caitlin Roeller (Ctwd). She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Huddleston (Phx, Ctwd) and her grandson, Andrew Roeller (Ctwd). Doris was a very loving person and will be missed by all. A mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Chapel Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 11:00 am. Donations in Doris' memory may be made to Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S.
