Doris J. Snook, 78, passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at her home in Fort Wayne. Born in Columbus, OH, Doris worked as a secretary with Green Power Inc. for many years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of First Christian Church. Doris enjoyed word finds, reading Amish Christian fiction books, collecting cook books and cooking. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter Lori (Estel) Vandergriff of Fort Wayne, son Michael J. (Melissa) Snook of Walton, sisters, June Warren, Donna Kencht, brother Dale Sparks, granddaughters Paige and Valerie Vandergriff, and grandson Jacob Snook. Doris was preceded in death by parents John and Melvene Sparks, husband, Wilbur H. Snook, son Charles Williams, brothers Bob Sparks, Daniel Sparks, and sister Sally. A memorial service is 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 29, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling one hour prior, Pastor Ron Ramsey officiating.
