Doris R. Shellman of East Orleans, MA, widow of Joseph B. Shellman died March 8, 2009 in Cape Cod Hospital. She is survived by a son, Michael J. Shellman of Danbury, CT, two brothers, Roy Staehly of East Haddam, CT, Emil Staehly also of East Haddam, CT and a sister, Carolyn Staehly of Orange, CT and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Ziman. Doris was born in New Haven, CT, graduated from West Haven High School. She worked for SNET for 28 years and retired in 1987.

Visiting hours are Friday, March 13 from 4 - 8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT. Funeral service will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
