Doris Stalo, 80 of Cottonwood , passed away on November 3, 2011. She was born on September 27, 1931 in Lincoln , NB to Ralph and Viola Bearg. Doris attended school in Van Nuys, CA. She worked as assistant manager at Yellow Front and Totem Department Store. Doris belonged to Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking. Family was the most important to her. Doris is survived by sons Kirk Stalo and Steve Stalo (Gwen) both of Cornville; daughter Debbie Adams (Kevin) of Cottonwood; brother Bruce Bearg (Barbara) of Talent, OR; grandsons Jesse Stalo (Meredith) of Cottonwood and Thomas Stalo of Phoenix and great grandson Genesis Stalo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00am at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Cottonwood . Donations may be made in Doris ' name to Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 101 S. Main Street , Cottonwood , AZ 86326 . An online guestbook is available to sign at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
