Dorothy A. Baxter, 82, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne. Born in Lima, OH, Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, puppies and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her daughter, Julie (Denny) Braun of Fort Wayne; son, James D. (Susan) Baxter Jr. of New Haven; grandchildren, Brandon M Braun, Janelle M Braun, Michael D Baxter, Lance Corporal Mitchell L Baxter; and step-grandchildren, Matthew D Tillapaugh and Marcus D Tillapaugh. great grandchildren, Allionna Baxter and Henry Tillapaugh. Dorothy was preceded in death by parents, Archer R. and Cora D. Evans; and her husband, James D. Baxter Sr. Service is 10am, November 12, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Road, Rev. Steven Roper officiating, with calling one hour prior. Visitation 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm Friday, November 11, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue.
