Mrs. Dorothy A. King, 80, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday November 26, 2010 at the La Porte Hospital. She was born July 23, 1930 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Ellis and Helen (Finch) Ellis. Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member and attended the La Porte Church of the Nazarene and the Koonze Lake Ministry Church. She was a devoted Christian lady and adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter - Ardona Kay (Ron) Schultz of Kingsford Heights, IN; 2 sons - Dale (Linda) King of Wamego, KS, Terry (Cindy) King of Chanute, KS; and many grandchildren; great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sons, William R. King Jr., David T. King, Richard C. King, Gerald D. King; 4 sisters, Irene Garner, Pearl M. McConnell, Ruby Ellis, Marguerite Lawrence; 3 brothers, Robert Ellis, Earl Ellis, and Herbert Ellis. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, November 29, 2010 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm & Tuesday, November 30, 2010 from 9:00 am - until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday November 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at the Walkerton Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
