Dorothy Ann Bowman, age 87 of Little Rock, Arkansas died Wednesday, October 26, 2011. She was born to John and Joy Reiman in Macksville, Kansas. Dorothy obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Oregon State College in Corvallis, Oregon. She married Robert Diles and moved to Fayetteville where she taught at the University of Arkansas and obtained her M. A. in Psychology. Following her years at the University of Arkansas, she taught in the Pulaski County Schools, Little Rock University also known today as the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the Jacksonville Air Force Base. Dorothy worked as Chief Psychologist at the Child Development Center at the Arkansas Department of Health for more than 20 years. In addition, she enjoyed working in her garden, playing bridge and golf, was a member of the Little Rock Women's Golf Association, the AARP Chapter 34 and St. James United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her four children, Reiman F. Diles (Peggy) of Carlisle, AR, D'Ann Diles, Linda Ring (Bobby) and Sandra Abbott (Randy) all of Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren, Brady Ring, Nicholas Ring, Travis Abbott, Reiman "Ray" Diles II, Joreece Abbott and Deanna Diles and one niece Lindie Brewer of Denver, Co. She is preceded in death by Robert Diles, J. E. Bowman, her son Randy Diles and her sister Carolyn Brewer.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 661-9111 with the Reverend Dr. Russ Breshears officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the funeral home.
