Dorothy D. Frantz

Dorothy "Dot" Dodd Frantz, 82, a resident of the Cascades Retirement Community in Greenville, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011.

Born in Montclair, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Henry Hanson Dodd and Marie Holdrum Dodd. After receiving an associate degree at Mary Washington College, she worked as a laboratory technician until she had children and became a full time mother of four. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of the Junior League of Greenville.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert F. Frantz and their four children, Scott Frantz of Arlington, VA, Chris Frantz of Laurens, Diane Goodman of Greer, and Wendy Simmons of Greer. Also surviving are her twelve grandchildren. She is survived by her brother William H. Dodd of Morristown, NJ.

A private family service will be held on Saturday at The Mackey Mortuary.
