Dorothy Dusick (nee Poremsky), age 83, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Friday evening, March 11, 2011 at the Seasons of Life Residential Hospice in Parma, Ohio following a lengthy battle with colon cancer.

She was born Saturday, May 7, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to Nicholas and Mary (nee Sharsan) Poremsky. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Cleveland. Dorothy worked for many years as an administrative assistant at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland and was a long-time, faithful member of Unity Lutheran Church in Cleveland. She was a friend to all animals and she loved her cats in particular. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah L. Archer (David) of Lakewood, Ohio, her brother in law Raymond Duzick (Eleanor) and her sister in law Mary Hoffman (Bernie, deceased), and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Dorothy in death was her beloved husband Albert Daniel Dusick who passed away May 9, 1969; her parents Nicholas and Mary, her siblings Martha Poremsky, Helen Swade, Ann Falkowski, Joseph Porter, Nicholas Poremsky, Jr., Myron "Butchie" Poremsky and Mary Haney, and brothers in law Thomas Duzick and Steve Duzick.

Dorothy's funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Unity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4542 Pearl Road, Cleveland, Ohio, 44109. The Rev. Peeter Pirn, Pastor of Unity Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery in Cleveland. The family will receive friends at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 4334 Pearl Road, Cleveland, from 2-4 P.M. & 6-9 P.M. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011.
