Sopko, Dorothy Elizabeth, 94 of Dunedin,Florida passed away on Saturday January 21, 2012.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 3, 1917. She retired in 1981 from ALCOA after 32 years of service within the accounting department. She relocated to Dunedin, FL in 2003.
Dorothy loved to travel and was fortunate to visit Japan, China, The Holy Land, Czechoslovakia and Italy.
She was a member of the St. Joachim Church in Pittsburgh until she relocated and is now a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin.
She will always be remembered for her generous giving heart and for her love of chocolate and ice cream.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph V. and Frances Lucas Sopko; brother, Clement Sopko; brother and sister-in-law Edward and Julia Sopko.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Eleanore and George Borsh; sister-in-law, Mary Sopko; nephews, Richard Sopko and his wife, Elaine, Thomas Sopko and his wife, Joyce, Robert Sopko , James Sopko and his wife Teresa, Edward Sopko, Ronald Borsh and his wife, Marti; nieces, Judith Sopko, Donna Borsh Cowden and her husband, Kenneth; seven, great nieces and six great nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Dorothy's name to Suncoast Hospice.
