Dorothy Irene (Miller) Foughty, 75 years young, beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother joined her best friend and husband, Jack, in Heaven on August 8, 2012. Born on April 9, 1937 she was a loving mother and mother-in-law whose greatest joy was spending time with all her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her laugh was contagious and joyous; she loved being with and repeating stories of her grandchildren and great- grandchildren's exploits. The kindness and love she gave to all those in her life will be cherished memories and she will be sorely missed by all of us who loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jack Foughty on September 11, 2001, her parents, Charlie and Helen Miller and her sister, Nancy White. Dorothy worked for more than 30 years at the Hoover Company in North Canton before retiring in 1997. She lived and raised her sons in Greentown, Ohio for 44 years before moving to Assisted Living at Heather Ridge in 2007 until her death. While at Heather Ridge, Dorothy enjoyed the companionship of the other resident and caregivers. Dorothy attended The Chapel in North Canton. Remembering her with great love are her sons and their spouses: Jack and Joan Foughty, Craig and Yong Cha Foughty and David and Susie Foughty. Her grandchildren and spouses: Bryan and Jennifer Foughty, Karlye and Chad Martin, Jessica and Scott Russell, Daniel and Janelle Rhodeback, Joseph and Diane Foughty, John and Michelle Rhodeback, William Garver, Tae Yang, Dayoung and Yoe Min Foughty. Her great-grandchildren: Dylan, Kayla and Kevin Foughty, Hadley and Macey Martin and Tristan Rhodeback. She will be greatly missed by her many friends, sister and brother-in-law, Donna and John Messina, her nieces and nephews and their children. She touched many lives and we are thankful for having her for the time we did. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00am in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW with Pastor Dan Hanny officiating. Interment will be in Greentown Cemetery. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10-11am in the funeral home. Those wishing to send their condolences or share a fond memory may sign the Reed online guestbook at www.reedfuneralhome.com.
