PEORIA – Dorothy Isabelle Price, 81, of Peoria, formerly of Wyoming, died at 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born October 2, 1928 in West Jersey to Clarence William and Margaret Darlene Colwell Farrell. She married Ralph Eugene "Scuz" Price on August 20, 1950 in Toulon. He died in 2001 in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were three brothers and one sister. Surviving are son, Frank (Songsiri) Price of York, NE; three daughters, Trudy Price of San Diego, CA, Mary (David) Lucas of Springfield, and Amy Price of Peoria; son, David Price of Peoria; four grandchildren, Aimee (Craig) Ashley of Hellertown, PA, Dana Stodgel of Champaign, Michael Price of Spring Hill, FL, and Som Duangsang of York, NE; four great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a graduate of Michael Reese Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago in 1949. She retired from nursing after 44 years in 1993. She worked as a registered nurse for 26 years for Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was a member of the Illinois Society for Nurse Administrators. Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America 801 Eighteenth Street, NW Washington, DC 20006-3517.
