Dorothy Jane (Adams) Fisher, 89, of Gahanna, Ohio, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully at New Albany Gardens in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011. Born March 19, 1922, in Sheridan, Michigan, she and her husband spent the majority of their lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana until they moved to Gahanna, Ohio in 1994. She devoted her life to her children, and her grandchildren and great children were the love of her life. She was an avid reader, and loved to knit sweaters and mittens for children organizations. Preceded in death by husband Richard D. Fisher and son John D. Fisher, she is survived by two sons, Richard A. (Elaine) Fisher of Wellington, Florida and Thomas E. (Cynthia) Fisher of Gahanna, Ohio, and daughter Barbara J. (Edmund) Rivers of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and one more on the way. Funeral service is 10:00 am Friday at D.O. McComb Lakeside Chapel 1140 lake ave. Fort Wayne In 46805 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers preferred memorials to Salvation Army or the Kidney Foundation.
