Dorothy began her life's journey on January 19th, 1936 in Alastia, Louisiana. She was the eldest of eight children born to Earlene and Johnny Williams and Ben Mason (Earlene's second husband). Her parents and six siblings preceded her in death.

Dorothy accepted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age, her favorite bible verse is 2 Corinthians 5:8. In 1951, Dorothy met and married Charley Robinson in Dumas, Arkansas. To this union, eight children were born. Dorothy was a devoted wife of 60 years and beloved mother, who always put the interest of her family first, she was fondly known for her culinary skills to the fact that family would come from near and far for her meals and especially for those caramel cakes! Dorothy worked for SF MUNI for 17 years as a transit operator and loved to fish.

To cherish her memory, Dorothy leaves behind her husband, Charley Robinson, two sisters: Mattie McDavid and Ida Young; her eight children: Carolyn Page (Michael), LaWanda Stewart (Martin), Charley Robinson (Beverly), Tommie Robinson (Pamela) Dorothy Ann Doss (Augustus), Joyce Marie Medici, Darlene Joshua (Lionel), Jerry Robinson (Tina); sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, and nephews and extended family.
