Dorothy M. Jackson, age 91 of Aberdeen died Thursday, November 11, 2010. Born in Newport News, VA. to the late Edwin and Lizzie McIntosh; beloved wife of the late Harry L. Jackson; devoted mother of Reveillie Poirier of Roslyn, PA, Bertie Haswell of Atlanta, GA and the late Eric "Moe" Jackson; dear grandmother of Sherilyn A. Nantz, Donald W. Poirier, Jr., Dorothy M. Serban, Christopher M. Poirier, Mark Jackson, Leslie Palmer, David Jackson, Michael Haswell, Jr., Kristina Linn Haswell and Kip Haswell. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a past President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Aberdeen VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, board games, sewing, cooking, playing cards and was a self proclaimed "card shark". The family will receive friends in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A. of Aberdeen on Saturday, November 20 from 9am-Noon. A funeral service officiated by Deacon Daniel Kopczyk will begin at noon. Interment will follow in Harford Memorial Gardens.
