Dorothy M. Bradford of Huntsville, AL, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dorothy has five children, 16 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Bradford in 2008. Her children are Steven L. Bradford of Huntsville, Patti and Steve Phillips of Campbellsville, KY, Capt. Michael and Pan Panoh Bradford of Ft. Lewis, Washington, Cliff and Patricia Bradford of Hazel Green and Keith and Jennifer Bradford of Griffin, Georgia. Dorothy has two living brothers, Dewey Strickland and Carl Strickland of Texas. Dorothy was a member of Madison Church of the Nazarene and a retired Air Force wife. Dorothy was a supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Memorial Services will be held at Madison Church of the Nazarene on Sunday, March 13, 2011 with the visitation at 2:00 p.m. and services starting at 3:00 p.m. Valhalla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A graveside service will be held at Faith Memorial Park on Monday, March 14 at 3:00 p.m.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Nancy Bradford for the care giving and love expressed to our Mother in the last days of her life and to her grandson, Gerrad Bradford, for his love and care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Breast Cancer Society or to Madison Church of the Nazarene.
