Dorothy May Cleveland Thomas, 86, of Judsonia, took flight to Heaven on June 29, 2012 in the loving arms of her family. She was born March 6, 1926.
She was dearly loved by her family, friends, and all who met her. Dorothy was a devout Christian who constantly followed the teachings of Christ and taught her children to follow Him. She left a great legacy of love and caring for her family and had the most beautiful soul of any woman. She attended Kensett First Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her children, LC (Mary) Thomas of Judsonia, Barbara (James) Miers of Searcy, Linda (Martin) Ghent of Searcy, Brenda (Sam) Crawford of Judsonia, Kathy (Jim) Phipps of Jacksonville and Angela (Jimmy) Edwards of Searcy; siblings, Elvin Cleveland, Went Cleveland, Sylvia Brewer, and Fay Hayes of Judsonia; best friend, Mable Manor of Judsonia; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous friends and family.
Preceding her to Heaven are her husband, Newman Thomas; son, Charles Thomas; parents, Dewey and Arville Cleveland; brothers, Ray, Gene, and Dent Cleveland all of Judsonia.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob. Services will be Monday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Clement officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery in the Central Community of Judsonia by Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net
