Mrs. Dorothy N. Lowry McDonald

Dorothy N. Lowry McDonald, 94, passed away July 2, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Norman S. McDonald, Jr. in 2001 and her son, Michael McDonald in 2008. Mrs. McDonald was born on a farm in Clay County, Missouri and graduated from William Jewell College in 1939. She married Norman that year and lived in Liberty until 1964. They moved to Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of the T.N.T. Sorority, D.A.R., and the Hurstbourne Baptist Church. She volunteered her time at the Veteran's Hospital, T.W.I.G.S. and the American Red Cross. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Margaret M. Roberts (Doug); grandchildren: Sarah (Aaron), Sam, Amanda (Jordan), Norman III (Lisa), Todd (Susan), and Kristen; daughter-in-law, Gretchen and great grandchildren, John, Like, Caleb, and Lauren; sisters-in-law, Betty Lowry and Jean Lowry, and many nieces and nepj=hews around the world.
