Dot Lance

Easley – Dorothy Parker "Dot" Lance, 81, wife of Leroy Lance of Easley passed from this life Tuesday, December 6, 2011.

Mrs. Lance was born in Jackson County, NC a daughter of the late McKinley and Florence Ashe Parker. She was retired from Wal-Mart as department manager at the Easley location. Mrs. Lance was a member of EllJean Baptist Church and The T.E.L. Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Leroy Lance of the home, two sons James Lance and Wanda and Gary Lance and Karen all of Pickens, daughter-in-law Julia Lance, grandchildren Bradley Lance, Wendall Lance and Kim, Nick Lance, Carrie Byers and Nathan, and Justin Lance. Also surviving is a sister Hattie "Lou" Tolley of Durham, NC and a brother Marvin Parker of Robertsdale, AL.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lance was preceded in death by sons Ronald Lee Lance, Andrew Charles Lance, and grandson James Shannon Lance.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with the Reverend Robert Fowler and the Reverend Rex Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elljean Baptist Church, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, 605 Elljean Road, Easley, SC 29640.
