Dorothy Wright passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 with her family present. Dorothy was born November 20, 1919 in Underwood, Iowa to Freda and Theodore Detlef Sieck. She attended Wayne State College and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. As the new school teacher in Silver City, Iowa she later met and married Charles Wright. Dorothy was a teacher who deeply cared about her students, many of whom later returned to thank her. She retired from teaching after 40 years of inspiring so many to life long learning. She was known for opening her home to others. Even though she put heart and soul into her teaching, she was an energetic and generous hostess to family and friends. Family dinners have not been the same without her pie. She often said that she did the most for herself when she helped others. Dorothy loved to read and loved words, especially crossword puzzles. She was a consummate interior decorator of her homes. She is the beloved mother of Kathy and her husband Jerry McIntosh and Nancy and her husband Michael Campbell, all of Fort Collins; she was also the cherished grandmother of Charles Fraser and his wife Nancy of Woodstock, CT and Alexander Fraser and his wife Wendy of Mill Valley, CA. During the past year and a half she became grand-nana to Campbell and Leighton Fraser. She is also survived by two brothers Walter and Loran Sieck and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, and two brothers Clifford and Leonard Sieck. Memorial Service will be 11:00am, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Allnutt Drake Chapel with a reception to follow in the Allnutt Reception Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the PVH Foundation and Hospice of Larimer County in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
