E. Morton Marlow, a resident of Laurel since 1947, passed away on May 11, 2012. He was born in Laurel to Ellsworth and Elizabeth Marlow. Mr. Marlow was a manager and supervisor for Verizon and was an active member of the community. He was a member of the Laurel Wreath Lodge #149, Boumi Temple, Eastern Star #75, life member of the American Legion Post 60, life member of the Legion 40 + 8, life member of the Laurel Lions Club, Trustee for the Knights of Pythias, Laurel Moose Lodge #1504, Wheaton Moose Lodge #1775, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Laurel Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. Mr. Marlow is survived by his wife Betty L. Turney; his son Wayne M. Marlow; step daughter Theresa M. Turney and step grandchildren Stephen G. Turney, Dustin A. Turney and Joshua C. Turney. Mr. Marlow was predeceased by his first wife, Doris M. Marlow. Visitation will be on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am. Interment will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
