He had the rare quality of being generous and frugal. His smile warmed a room. He was quick, intelligent, and had a broad background of things he could talk about. And he loved Ann and was entirely devoted to her. They had and continue to have an exemplary marriage - one that we all can learn from.

Thank you Ann and Virgil for following an impression and being on a certain mountain peak in the precise moment of need. It is just the way you lived together.

I love Virgil and look forward to seeing him again.

Oh how I love Uncle Virgil. He has so much light and enthusiasm. Whenever I'd see him, a big smile would come across his face. He'd always want to know what was going on in my life and had great stories to tell. I certainly was not unique to this warm reception. I noticed the same love and enthusiasm come over him whenever others would come into the room.

I was particularly touched during his 90th birthday celebration. Indeed he has lived a wonderful life, and it was great to commemorate/learn about his active involvement in scientific research and CES teaching. The highlight of the celebration was seeing the great love he and Aunt Ann share with each other.

Aunt Ann and Uncle Virgil shared/share a wonderful, touching relationship. To them, time is no boundary. They shared many wonderful adventures together and cared for each other together.
