Earl Robbins, 92, of Hot Springs, passed away January 8, 2012. He was born June 25, 1919, in Covington, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Rose Robbins, three brothers and two sisters. He has one surviving sister, Rosemary Weber of Highland Heights, Kentucky. On May 7, 1941, he married Cecilia "De De" Schevene. They moved to Hot Springs in August 1941.

Survivors include his wife, Cecilia "De De"", three sons, Richard, his wife Frances of Houston, Texas, Robert and his wife Leslie of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Thomas and his wife Cathy of Hot Springs. He has five grandchildren, Paul and his wife Kristen, their children, Lilly and John. Mark Robbins, his wife Katie and their children Charles and Luke. Emily Robbins LeSeure and her husband, Tony, Eric and Janna Robbins, and two step-grandchildren, Drew Cornelison and his wife Kira and Sean Cornelison.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was a member of UTC, Retired Teachers Association, Knights of Columbus Club and served on the board of Arc Isle. For over 50 years he was an Elk's Club member. He served as exulted ruler at Lodge 380 and was a past president of Arkansas State Elk's Association. He served as a city alderman for six years and a Justice of the Peace on the Quorum Court for over 30 years. He was the last member of the original Quorum Court. While Justice of the Peace he performed 3835 marriages including his son Thomas and his wife Cathy and his granddaughter Emily and Tony LeSeure.

He was operations and service manager of Market Street Garage for 20 years. For 14 years he was the Auto Mechanics instructor at Hot Springs High School, retiring from that position in 1986.

Pallbearers are Paul Robbins, Mark Robbins, Tony LeSeure, Bob Heusel, Roy Tart and Larry Griffith.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robert Aspell, Dr. Michael Frais, Dr. Daniel Owens, Dr. William Wright, the Mercy Hospital staff, friends and staff at Garrett Manor, the Hughes family and the Berdikoskis.

Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Alan Rosenau officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery following the funeral service.
