Earl J. DeGrandchamp, 84, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Woodview Assisted Living in Fort Wayne. Born in Detroit, MI, he worked in Market Research with General Electric for 40 years, retiring in 1988. He was an U S Army WW II veteran and an U S Air Force Korean War veteran. He was a proud "Kadiddlehopper."
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Marie (Mettler) DeGrandchamp; sons, Steven E. DeGrandchamp, Michael (Mary) DeGrandchamp, Gary H. DeGrandchamp, Mark W. (Sherry) DeGrandchamp, and Jon R. DeGrandchamp; daughters, Ann DeGrandchamp, Vicki (Scott) Huff, and Nancy (Dave) Zimmanck; grandchildren, Robby, Jodi, Bethany, Lindsay, Emily, Adam, Alexandra, and Frederick. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Helen DeGrandchamp; sisters,Theresa Owens and Corrine Wolfe; and brother, Ernest DeGrandchamp.
Memorial service is 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St Joe Rd with calling one hour prior. Arrangements by D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions. Memorials may be made to Easter Seals ARC of N E Indiana, Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, or Masses.
